According to information obtained from knowledgeable sources, next year, three new Apple smartphones will receive support for fifth-generation networks. In this case, Qualcomm X55 will act as a 5G modem.
In addition, the new Apple smartphones should receive the Apple A14 processor. Most likely, it will be the first chip of the company, manufactured using a 5nm process technology. This solution is expected to further enhance the performance of Apple’s mobile processors.
It is worth noting that in the past, network sources have repeatedly reported Apple’s plans to add 5G support to the iPhone. However, until recently, many doubted that this would happen next year. At the same time, thanks to the renewed cooperation with Qualcomm, Cupertinos can count on the fact that the iPhone will show high data download speeds via 5G – up to 7 Gb / s (download) and 3 Gb / s (upload).
In addition to all of the above, network sources report on Apple’s plans to equip its next smartphones with two identification systems at once: Face ID and a fingerprint scanner. In this case, the latter should be located under the screen.
