Apple will limit the geography of 5G modules in new iPhones

Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared new details regarding the next generation of Apple smartphones. In the past, network sources have repeatedly said that new items will receive support for fifth generation networks. However, Ming-Chi Kuo is confident that such an option will only work in five countries.

Apple will limit the geography of 5G modules in new iPhones

According to the famous analyst, 5G support will only be active in five countries: the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom. In other regions where 5G is not yet available or has very limited coverage, Apple will turn off 5G support. Most likely, this will be done at the software level.

Ming-Chi Kuo believes that this year Cupertinians will show four new iPhones with 5G. At the same time, thanks to mmWave technology, which is integrated into Qualcomm modems, all devices will support 5G frequencies above 6 GHz.

The analyst is sure that support for fifth generation networks will be far from the only feature of the new generation of iPhone. Ming-Chi Kuo believes that this year the Cupertinians will thoroughly redesign their devices, as well as finalize the main camera.
