Ian Beer, a computer security researcher and member of the Google team, shared information on a vulnerability that could help to crack iOS 12.1.2, macOS Mojave 10.14.2 and earlier versions of Apple operating systems.
Bier described in some detail the vulnerability he found, which could potentially be used to jailbreak iOS 12. However, hackers will have to thoroughly modify the jailbreak process. Therefore, you should not count on an early jailbreak release.
In addition, Beer noted that in iOS 12.1.3, the vulnerability he found was closed. This means that the circle of possible jailbreak users will be quite narrow, because of which hackers can simply refuse to develop a public jailbreak tool.
It should be noted that this is not the first time a Google employee has found vulnerabilities in the code of Apple operating systems. In the past, Bira’s “find” has already helped create a working jailbreak for iOS 11.
