A small update to iOS 7.1.1 was released on Tuesday evening. For the most part, the changes concerned the elimination of existing shortcomings. But it was this update that brought bad news for jailbreak fans – hack iOS 7.1.1 impossible.
A number of hackers immediately came to the conclusion that the creation of a utility for hacking the Apple mobile system version 7.1.1 is not only impractical, but simply impossible. A well-known hacker under the nickname ionic was the first to write about this in his microblog.
He stated that most of the vulnerabilities that could be hacked had been fixed. His information was supplemented by a member of the well-known Evad3rs team under the nickname MuscleNerd. The hacker explained that over 80% of the edits involved Webkit. The update fixes the Touch ID scanner, keyboard, and a number of other issues.
Members of the Evad3rs team, known for their hacking tools, are still discussing the feasibility of creating an exploit for iOS 7.1. According to them, if it takes more than a month, they will simply wait for the release of iOS 8. The next generation of Apple’s mobile system should be presented in the fall of 2014.
