As you know, in the recently released new version of the mobile operating system iOS 8.1.1, Apple has closed the vulnerabilities used for the untethered Pangu8 jailbreak. It is not yet known when a ready-made solution for new versions of iOS will appear, but today the iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak was demonstrated in a video.
The video was posted by the famous hacker iH8sn0w, but it’s too early to rejoice. The point is that the hacker’s solution only works on devices with the old, 3-pin connector. For the Lightning iH8sn0w connector, I have not yet come up with a hacking method.
Of course, the iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak is still in its very early stages, but the good news is that it is potentially possible. It is hoped that both iH8sn0w and the PanguTeam will continue their search, and in some more or less foreseeable future they will create a working solution for untethered jailbreak of iOS 8.1.1. It would be better if this happened before February-March, when the announcement of iOS 8.2 is expected.
